Toshiba Sues Italian Company Over DVD Patents

Toshiba on Thursday filed a DVD patent infringement suit against an Italian company Toshiba claims is manufacturing and selling DVDs without the proper licenses.
Milan-based ACME is distributing the discs in Italy without permission, according to Toshiba. This has "damaged Toshiba's DVD-related business, and also caused damages to the legitimate and licensed DVD product manufacturing and distribution business as a whole," Toshiba said in a statement.
