Half-Life 2: Aftermath Renamed & Activision Receives AIAS Awards

- GameSpot is reporting that Half-Life 2: Aftermath is now renamed Half-Life 2: Episode One. Marketing director Doug Lombardi stated that the Aftermath expansion pack will now be the first in a series of episodic content.

Activision announced today that two of its games were honored at the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences' Ninth Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, held last evening at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The first one is Call of Duty 2: Big Red One which earned "Outstanding Achievement in Story and Character Development". The second game is The Movies which was named "Simulation Game of the Year."
Activision, Inc. announced today that two of its games were honored at the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences' Ninth Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, held last evening at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Call of Duty 2: Big Red One earned "Outstanding Achievement in Story and Character Development" and The Movies was named "Simulation Game of the Year."

Hosted by famed comedian/actor Jay Mohr, the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences Awards Show was held in conjunction with the D.I.C.E. Summit, an annual meeting of the most creative minds in the video game industry.
